Making a payment

Whether you want to set up a monthly Direct Debit, or just make a one-off contribution, paying in to a child's Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund only takes a few minutes. Remember, only the child can access the money and only at age 18.

Please keep in mind that the value of stocks and shares investments can fall as well as rise. This is normal for investments in stocks and shares, but it means the child could get back less than has been paid in. Cash accounts can't lose their value, but the effects of inflation mean the child won't be able to buy as much in the future as they can today.
