Making a payment

Whether you want to set up a monthly Direct Debit, or just make a one-off contribution, paying in to a child's Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund only takes a few minutes.

You can pay in online or, if you prefer, send us a cheque or make a payment by internet banking. All you need to make a payment online is the child's account number and date of birth. You can find all the details about how to do this in the tabs below.

Important points to remember

Only the child can access the money and from the age of 18. The value of stocks and shares investments can fall as well as rise. This is normal for investments in stocks and shares, but it means the child could get back less than has been paid in. Cash accounts can't lose their value, but the effects of inflation mean the child won't be able to buy as much in the future as they could today.
