Donations and fundraising

By Gemma Bellamy 29th May 2025

Giving back to the charities and local causes that make a difference to our communities is a big part of our Inspiring Better Futures vision.

Our mutual ethos is at the heart of what we do, reflected in our drive to make a difference in our communities.

Through local and national charity partnerships, volunteering and fundraising, we provide financial and practical support to those that need it most.

Here’s how we helped make a difference in 2024.

Our very own Shaun the Sheep sculpture

Having sponsored the Shaun by the Sea art trail for Martlets hospice in 2023, we were pleased to have the opportunity to design our very own Shaun the Sheep sculpture in exchange for a £10,000 donation.

Artist, Danni Smith, brought the sculpture named ‘Pebble’ to life with her Brighton-themed design, which she painted at our West Street Headquarters over several weeks in 2024.

Donating to great causes in 2024

We donated £2,500 each to Pelican Parcels, Brighton Unemployed Centre Families Project and Hastings Kelp Project in 2024. Each group is working hard to make a difference to people’s lives and boost our local communities.

We awarded a further £5,000 each to the Swindon Christmas Toy Appeal and Alternative Angels, helping them to provide support and hope to the most vulnerable members of their communities.

Matching our colleagues' fundraising

Colleague fundraising is matched by OneFamily up to the amount of £500, helping them to donate as much as possible to the causes they care about.

We contributed over £10,000 in charity matching in 2024, to groups supporting foodbanks, refugees, hospices, people affected by cancer and more.
