Understanding your OneFamily protection product

It's important to make sure that whoever will be sorting out your estate and arranging your funeral after you die knows about your policy so they can act quickly and claim any benefits they're entitled to.

Our everything in one place form is a free resource to help you let this person/s know about any policies or other financial products you have.

Some policies include Funeral Funding, which is designed to simplify your funeral arrangements and ease the financial burden during this challenging time by contributing towards your funeral costs.

We work with the Co Op and Golder Charter, who have many funeral directors across the UK. If you added funeral funding to your policy, you would have received a pack from either Co Op or Golden Charter explaining how this service works and confirming the amount the funeral director will contribute to your funeral costs.

If you can’t find this pack, please call us on 0800 028 1112.

Any money left over from the policy after covering funeral expenses will come back to your estate.

Please note that for a direct-to-cremation funeral, the financial contribution from the funeral provider may not apply.

This feature is available on only one Over 50s life cover policy per individual. While it may not cover all expenses, it provides assistance.

You can remove funeral funding from your policy at any time. If you wish to opt in or out of Funeral Funding, please contact us on 0800 028 1112.

If there is any money left after your funeral costs are covered, or if you've chosen to opt out of Funeral Funding, you can nominate someone to receive the rest of the pay-out.

If you purchased an Over 50s Life Cover policy between February 2012 and July 2020, it's likely that your policy covers serious illnesses.
