Funeral Funding feature

  • Funeral Funding is automatically included in OneFamily Over 50s Life Cover policies
  • Your payout will go directly to the funeral director so your funeral can be paid for from your policy
  • Co-op Funeralcare will also add up to £300 towards the cost of your funeral

Funeral Funding is automatically built into our Over 50s Life Cover policy (unless you opt out) and is designed to contribute towards the cost of your funeral.

What is Funeral Funding?

Funeral Funding allows you and your loved ones peace of mind that money will be available to use towards your funeral when you die.

Your Over 50s Life Cover payout will be made directly from the policy to the chosen funeral director when the final bill is settled, so your next of kin doesn't need to find the cost of the funeral up front.

Co-op Funeralcare, our chosen partner, will also make a contribution of up to £300* towards your funeral costs.

If there's any money left after your funeral has been paid for, this will be paid to your estate.

Funeral Funding is not a Funeral Plan and might not always meet the full cost of a funeral. If there isn't enough to pay for your chosen funeral, your next of kin will need to pay the shortfall.

You're only able to have Funeral Funding on one life insurance policy, whether that's with OneFamily or another provider.

* A contribution of £300 will be applied to a Tailored Funeral, £125 to an Essential Funeral (a simple, lower cost option), and £50 to a Direct Cremation (an unattended cremation without a funeral service)
