Family Fixed Interest Fund
Where is the fund invested?
The Family Fixed Interest Fund invests in fixed interest investments, including UK Gilts, and sterling local authority and corporate bonds
What are the risks?
Investing in gilts and corporate bonds is generally lower risk than investing in stocks and shares. Although fixed interest investments can be more stable than shares, their value can still change in different market conditions, and the value can go down as well as up.
Its value can fall if interest rates rise. It is also exposed to the risk that a bond issuer may be unable to meet interest payments or repay the amount borrowed.
Inflation may also reduce the real value of your investment over time, meaning your money may not go as far in the future.
