£5,000 Community Award winner 2016

The Dundee-based choir was set up to help those suffering with Alzheimer’s or dementia and provides an outlet to lift the moral of those affected by the disease. The choir won £5,000 to hire a new musical director and to record their first ever CD.

“As an independent group, funding is essential and we’re thrilled so many people voted for us. Our choir is a community that welcomes Alzheimer’s and dementia sufferers, as well as their carers.”

Denise Main, chair of committee
