1st Kinnerton Cubs celebrate £5,000 win to buy a new minibus

Cubs cheer in a field

The ageing mini bus used by Kinnerton Cubs had seen better days, with only a few miles left in her before she’d need to park up for good.

The £5,000 will be spent on buying a minibus for the group to use that would benefit all of the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers who are part of the Kinnerton Cubs group. It will enable the children to visit new areas and experience new adventures, one of the main reasons they love being part of the group in the first place!

The new minibus will also be used by the village walking group, and will be shared between both groups to ensure more of the community members can benefit from the new vehicle.

Allison Parrish, assistant cub leader and OneFamily customer nominated the group for a Community Award.

“Providing the local community, including the Cubs, with a safe and reliable mini bus will enable us to enjoy trips away. It’s vital that children get to experience the outdoors regularly, and we’re so grateful to the OneFamily Foundation for giving us this funding”

Allison Parrish, Assistant Cub Leader

The new mini bus will provide children aged six to eighteen, as well as the Kinnerton Walking Group, a safe mode of transport for the Community.
