A space to relax and enjoy family time during Brighton Pride.

OneFamily, the Brighton-based financial mutual, is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the Brighton Pride Family Diversity Area, a fun-filled free space for families to enjoy the Pride Festival together.  They will also be taking part in the Community Parade.

Brighton Pride, which takes place from 5-7 August 2016, is the biggest Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community event in the UK, with nearly 300,000 people participating in the celebrations across the city last year.  The Family Diversity Area is located within the Pride Festival site at Preston Park on Saturday 6 August.

OneFamily Marketing Director, Karl Elliott, said: “We are really excited to be joining in with the celebrations for this year’s Brighton Pride.  OneFamily is proud to be a Brighton employer and celebrates the diversity of our city.  We help our members put their money where their love is and we will be enjoying this year’s Pride Festival with families from Brighton and beyond for a fun and memorable day.”

"OneFamily is proud to be a Brighton employer and celebrates the diversity of our city."

OneFamily provides products and services across investments, savings, lifetime mortgages and protection products, to support families to meet the financial demands of modern life.

Paul Kemp, Brighton Pride Community Interest Company, said: “Brighton Pride has evolved over the years with more communities coming together to celebrate every aspect of our city, regardless of sexuality, race, gender, age or ability.  We are delighted that OneFamily is supporting the event for the first time and sponsoring our Family Diversity Area’.

Last year’s Brighton Pride Festival raised a record breaking £100,000 for LGBT and HIV organisations and good causes across Sussex.  Beneficiaries included Allsorts Youth Project, Lunch Positive, LGBT Community Safety Forum, MindOut, Peer Action and Clare Project.
