The Board of Engage Mutual is to appoint Christina (Chris) McComb as Chairman as of 30th April, 2014.

Chris has been a member of the Board since 2005, and Vice Chairman since 2009. She will take over from David Robinson, following his decision not to seek re-election as a Director at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on 22nd May.

Commenting on the appointment of Chris, David Robinson said, “I’m delighted Chris will succeed me as Chairman. Chris combines a thorough understanding of our business with a strong mutual ethos, which will be invaluable as the Society continues its journey to becoming a leading customer-owned organisation.“

David has been Chairman of Engage since joining the society in September 2010, and has overseen a review of strategy and substantial change on the Board, including the recruitment of a new CEO and also of four new Non-Executive Directors. He leaves behind a confident and thriving modern mutual, with a loyal customer base and a strong board.

Commenting on David’s departure, Chris McComb said, “On behalf of the Board, I would like to express my gratitude to David for his work as Chairman over the last four years.

“Under his stewardship, Engage has strengthened its credentials as a successful, sustainable customer-owned organisation, delivering benefits beyond customers’ expectations. We wish him well with his plans for the future.”
