engage Mutual co-hosted the Yorkshire-leg of an international visit by trade and investment specialists from UK embassies around the world on Monday (10 November). The visit to Harrogate was part of a week-long tour organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) and the City of London to promote the UK financial and legal services industry to an international audience.

The visiting group, which included 20 specialists from 14 different countries, including Australia, China, Brazil, India and the USA, spent time in London before travelling to Leeds. Hosted by Leeds Financial Services Initiative, they received presentations and met members of the city’s legal and financial community before visiting Engage Mutual in Harrogate to learn about the role of the mutual in today’s financial world.

Chief Executive at engage Mutual, Andrew Haigh commented:

“We are extremely pleased to be part of a strategic event seeking to raise the international profile of the Leeds city region and beyond, and in a small way, to put Harrogate on the financial services map. The region has much to be proud of, and this visit reflects that.”
