OneFamily National Charity Partnership Voting – Terms & Conditions
(Effective from 19 May 2022)
These terms and conditions apply to anyone voting for a Charity in the National Charity Partnership initiative. Potential Voters should read them carefully before Voting for a Charity. Submission of a Vote indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
General
Interpretation
The following definitions have been used throughout this document:
- Charity/Charities – means a registered charity, charitable incorporated organisation or charitable company, that has been shortlisted by OneFamily to be included in a Customer vote to select a National Charity Partner
- Customer – means any person who holds a OneFamily policy or product in their own name or any person who is the named parent/guardian for a children’s policy or product where the child is under 18
- National Charity Partner(s) – means the Charity or Charities, satisfying the eligibility criteria as set out in the relevant sections below, that have been selected by OneFamily for a National Charity Partnership
- National Charity Partnership – means an initiative run by OneFamily, which supports a National Charity Partner(s) that operates UK-wide
- OneFamily – means the OneFamily group of companies (being Family Assurance Friendly Society Limited and its subsidiaries), whose website is located at onefamily.com
- Vote(s)/Voting – means selection of a Charity to become a National Charity Partner
- Voter – means the Customer who submitted the Vote
- Voting Profile – means the information provided on the website about each Charity. This information is available during the Voting period, at com/our-story/charity-partnerships/charity-voting/
Decisions, determinations and exercises of discretion of, by or on behalf of OneFamily and its representatives are final and binding, and OneFamily will not be obliged to enter into correspondence in relation to them.
OneFamily reserves the right to modify or withdraw National Charity Partnership initiatives or change the timings of the National Charity Partnership at any time without prior notice.

General Information
The National Charity Partnership Voting process is operated by OneFamily.
These terms and conditions set out the rules applicable to the Voting process. Voters (including potential Voters) will be bound by these rules and are advised to read these terms before engaging with OneFamily. Any questions or requests for further information should be sent to the Membership team.
The Membership team reserve the right to discount a Vote if they believe the Voter has not complied with the National Charity Partnership Voting criteria below.
OneFamily reserves the right to cancel, extend the period of participation or alter in any way whatsoever these terms and conditions. OneFamily cannot be held responsible if, for any reason, the Voting process is modified, shortened or cancelled.
In case of any dispute, the laws of England and Wales will apply and all parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
Use of Personal Data
Personal details will be held and used by OneFamily in accordance with the OneFamily Privacy Notice available at onefamily.com/privacy-notice. By providing your details, you agree for OneFamily to use them for the purpose of fulfilling our National Charity Partnership vote only. We will use these details to confirm that you are a OneFamily Customer and eligible to Vote. We will not use these details for any other purpose.

Responsibility
OneFamily endeavours to deal with all persons with whom it engages fairly and reasonably and with all due diligence and appropriate resource. However, OneFamily accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liability, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered whether as a result of Voting for a National Charity Partner or otherwise. OneFamily further accepts no responsibility for any damage to any computer or other devices relating to or in connection with OneFamily’s website or any other interaction with OneFamily.
OneFamily will not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms and conditions will exclude the liability of OneFamily for death, personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation as a result of its negligence or breach of contract.
National Charity Partnership Voting
General Information
Customers can Vote for a National Charity Partner during the advertised Voting dates.
Customers will only be eligible to cast 1 Vote. Any further Votes will not be counted.
Votes made after the closing date will not be counted.
Once a Vote has been made, it cannot be undone or changed.
All Votes will be reviewed by OneFamily to determine that they are eligible.
The Charity who has received the most eligible Votes will become a National Charity Partner, subject to satisfactory Due Diligence.
Eligibility
To Vote in the National Charity Partnership initiative a Voter must:
- be a Customer with an active OneFamily policy or product
- not be a OneFamily employee.
- be aged 17 and over
Only one Vote can be made at any given time by a Customer. If OneFamily receives more than one Vote from the same Customer we will only consider the first Vote.
Voting
Voting will open 19 May 2022 and close 17 June 2022 at 11am.
By Voting, Customers agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
The information provided about each Charity on their online Voting Profile is correct to the best of OneFamily’s knowledge.
Voting is open to OneFamily Customers. To Vote, you must provide a valid email address capable of sending and receiving emails.
Votes may only be cast online.
Customers can only Vote once. Any subsequent Votes cast by the Customer will not be counted.
OneFamily reserves the right to verify the identity of Voters to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria set out above. By Voting, Customers agree for these checks to take place.
If OneFamily discovers fraudulent or ineligible Votes, these will be removed from the process.
Unacceptable Voting practices including, but not limited to, duplication of Votes, improper incentivisation of Votes (for example offering financial or prize draw incentives to potential Voters), purchasing of spam Twitter Votes or other such online services are not permitted. Any such activity that is not within the spirit of the National Charity Partnership, in the reasonable opinion of OneFamily, will result in the Votes not being counted.
At the end of the voting period, subject to verification, the Charity that has received the most votes will become our National Charity Partner.
In the event of a tie, two of OneFamily’s Directors may be asked to select a winner from the tied Charities. If any director is involved with any of the nominated Charities they will be required to abstain. The decision of the Directors is final, and the Directors will not be obliged to enter into correspondence relating to its decision.
In the event that the Charity who receives the most Votes chooses not to accept the National Charity Partnership (for any reason), the Charity that received the next highest number of Votes will be offered the National Charity Partnership.
Successful National Charity Partner(s)
The Charity who has received the most eligible Votes will become a National Charity Partner, subject to satisfactory Due Diligence.
The successful National Charity Partner(s) will be notified by OneFamily within 2 weeks of the voting period closing.

OneFamily will work with the National Charity Partner to provide financial and non-financial support, which may include volunteering, mentoring and skills sharing.
