How to transfer into a OneFamily Junior ISA

We've made it simple to transfer a child trust fund or junior ISA to us and we won't charge you to do this. However, please do check with your current provider in case they have any charges.

1. Choose a fund
Decide which of our two JISA funds is right for you by reading the fund documents below. The main difference to be aware of is that one is riskier than the other.

2. Tell us you want to transfer
Download the fund’s transfer form and post your completed form to: FREEPOST ONEFAMILY (this is the full address).

3. Start saving!
As soon as the transfer is complete, you’ll be able to log into your online account to set up a direct debit or start making one-off payments.

Can I transfer a child trust fund into a OneFamily Junior ISA?

Yes! It's easy to transfer a child trust fund into our Junior ISA, even if the child trust fund isn't with OneFamily. We accept transfers from cash or stocks and shares child trust funds.

We don’t charge for transferring but do check with your current provider in case they do.

What is the difference between a stocks and shares and a cash junior ISA?

With a cash junior ISA, your money isn't invested, it grows by earning interest like a current account does.

A stocks and shares junior ISA, like OneFamily's Junior ISA, invests your money into different assets including company shares, bonds, fixed interest assets and property. The price of these change daily, so your account value will go up and down.

Our Junior ISA invests in stocks and shares. Stocks and shares have good growth potential and are usually considered a good option if you're investing over the longer term as this helps even-out changes in the stock market. However, this comes with some risk as the value of stocks and shares can go down as well as up. This is normal for stocks and shares, but it does mean that there is a risk your child could get back less than is paid in.

Is my child eligible for a OneFamily Junior ISA?

A child is eligible for a OneFamily Junior ISA if:

• They are under 16

• They don't already have a child trust fund. If they do have a child trust fund, you can simply transfer it into a Junior ISA by choosing one of the funds below

• They are a UK resident. Or if you, as their parent or legal guardian, are working overseas as a Crown Servant or you're married/in a registered civil partnership with someone who is

There must be at least £500 in the junior ISA that you're transferring to OneFamily.
