Posted in: Family Last updated: 06 Apr 2016

We all had dreams and aspirations of what we wanted to be when we grew up, the same is true for our own children.  As parents we want our children to have the opportunity to realise their own dreams, and a little bit of financial planning whilst they're still young could provide a helping hand for when they're older.

Just to be clear, this video is not meant to be taken as advice. Also, your individual circumstances are probably different from the examples we've shown. The information in this video is correct as at 6th April 2016.

Boy voice over: When I was younger I wanted to be the world's best sand-castle builder.

I'd spend hours on the beach...

... making sure mine was bigger and taller than everyone else's.

It had to have a good structure and decorative features.

No detail would go unmissed.

I'd even draw my designs out when I got home from school if I had a great idea for my next sandcastle.

And now...

...I'm an architect.

Narrator VO: We all had dreams of what we wanted to be when we grew up.

We all had dreams of what we wanted to be when we grew up. Now as parents it's our turn to encourage our children with their own dreams and ambitions. Saving for your child no matter how small or large can be a helping hand towards what they want to see, do or be when they grow up.
