Bereavement advice

Provided by The Co-operative Legal Services

The time following the death of a loved one can be emotional and stressful enough without having to consider any of the practical issues. Dealing with all of the associated legal, tax and administrative processes can be an additional strain, and if you’ve never had to deal with a bereavement before, how do you know where to start?

We give all of our Over 50s and Health Cash Plan customers access to free initial advice via a Bereavement Advice Line, provided by The Co-operative Legal Services. They can give you and your family guidance on registering a death and the different forms that you’ll need to complete. They’ll also help you to understand what probate is, whether it’s required, and who can administer the estate.
